Privacy and Confidentiality
HBC therapists participate in annual updates on the regulations mandated by The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. We are fully compliant with provisions of the Act, which includes your various rights to privacy. Because of this Act, we electronically bill most insurance claims. All patient records are kept in secure areas of our offices. Only the information necessary to secure payment of claims is offered to carriers. All patients of HBC receive a copy of HIPAA privacy information as it relates to behavioral health out-patient treatment, upon filling out a registration packet before the first session.
